Last minute decision to visit Tioman - Malaysia for a short holiday. First time to Tioman for grandma , mum and I . Our travel guide is my uncle Michael who has been to Tioman since he was a teenager .
Early in the morning 6am we left our house and head to Bugis - Queen's St. to catch the 'CauseWay Link' bus to Johor's main bus terminal - Larkin . 1 person - 1 ticket - S$2.50/- only !!! cheap cheap cheap ~ SG to JB ~ no wonder Singaporeans like to cross over the border .
From Larkin , we bought Transnational's bus tickets to Mersing - approximately a 2 hours journey. 1 person - 1 ticket - MYR$19++ Then from Mersing bought Bluewater ferry tickets to Tioman . 1 ticket - 1 way - MYR$35
The boat trip over to Tioman was quite comfortable. The sea was calm . However, the trip back to the mainland was awful , cause the weather was changing and the sea was a little choppy .
People were friendly . Seafood was cheap and good on the island . Imagine 3 days of seafood hardly any vegetables , my bowel is not feeling good . Ikan Bakar (grilled fish) , Calamari , Kang Kong , Fried Fish , Grilled Prawns , ABC (bandong ice shaving) , etc . Ate delicious yet cheap food at Mersing too but it was a pity that I did not bring along my camera . Roast pork , Char Siew , Mix Omelette , Steamed Chicken , Ikan Pari ( Stingray) , Sayur Lemak , etc .
So happy that I learned how to snorkel , able to discover the beautiful corals , a variety of fishes , sea cumbers , long spined sea urchins , baby shark , squid , etc . Started out close to the shore with a life jacket after that the moment I took off the life jacket and swum , I felt a sudden rush of freedom . It was as though I really blend into the sea . The feeling was awesome .
Oh ! We witness a wedding on Tioman island . Totally different culture from the malay wedding culture in Singapore . The wedding culture at Tioman can last up to 3 days if it is a special occasion (eg: eldest son / last son / only daughter) or if the family have sufficient money to invite friends and family from the mainland or surrounding islands . Whereas the wedding culture in Singapore usually last for a day only.
Would I go again ? The answer is : Definitely yes ! The next time round , I will take a pill before getting on board the boat if the sea is choppy .

The Last Blossom | Go to post ➜
Now that exams are over , I am back to my usually stuff & that is bonding with my lappy =)
Watched Acoustic - Korean Movie in the morning (3/9). It was totally boring .
Trust me , it was a waste of my time to watch it .
No substance , No depth . Pfffff ~
Guess people watched it because their idol is in this movie .
Whereas The Last Blossom ...
Oh my goodness
Good actors/actresses/storyline can really make you feel the emotions when you watch them act .
Cried a ton when watching The Last Blossom - Korean Movie .
Used up quite a few pieces of tissue paper : /
confirm my eyes will be swollen when I wake up later .
Wonder why every time I cry, my nose will run &/or block .
Then if I hold back my tears, my throat hurts .
Hmmm ....

Watched Acoustic - Korean Movie in the morning (3/9). It was totally boring .
