11 Days In Europe !
~ Day 5 - 26 March 2012 ~
Woke up in the morning for my power-pack breakfast.
Easter eggs for Easter day ! ( 8 April 2012 )
Off to Jungfraujoch , Top of Europe !
The 1st tram up to Jungfraujoch.
On the way up to the transfer station.
Breathtaking alpine scenery.
Reaching the transfer station.
Can you spot the 2nd tram ?
The 2nd tram which we had to transfer.
Jungfraujoch tram ticket which the ticket officer would come and punch holes in it.
After which , you can keep the ticket as a memento.
Along the 2nd tram ride , there will be pit stops for tourists to use the toilets , admire the alpine rock walls and to take pictures.
Try to find a clean or some what clean glass window to take pictures ( or adjust your camera to match the light ) otherwise you will be taking the stains as well ( just like the above picture ). They hardly clean the windows !
Wasted no time once we reached Jungfraujoch , the 1st stop was the ice cave attraction.
It was freaking slippery ( be careful and hold on to the handrails ) & cold in here !
Ice carvings of eagles , seals and wolves plus a frozen scrat from ice age ^.^
We took a heli up !
( hell yeah , I wish we did ~ )
Just look at the snow ~ my family and I were not prepared for this !
Anyway , I wore a t-shirt , a pull-over sweater & 2 jackets ( not the thick ones ) , a winter scarf ( which I brought just to look cool in it ) , a pair of jeans and boots.
That's all.
Can you imagine how cold my hands & legs were ?
And the proportion of my body was totally out with 4 layers of top !
Lunch was deeeliicious ~ Especially the bread which looked kind of fake.

On the way down , there were some people skiing.
Houses & Wooden cabins.I can imaging myself opening my cabin door with a rifle or a shotgun in my hand ready for hunting ! While you are there , breathe in the fresh mountain air as much as you can.
There are many waterfalls , after all , Grindelwald is also known for the valley of waterfalls. Can you spot the waterfall ?
I took a walk around the hotel & I found a ...

Dinner was some take-away pizza , salad and a can of coke.
